Welcome to the Chickamauga City School District. I am honored and excited to be the Superintendent of Chickamauga City Schools. It is a privilege to be here, and I am committed to upholding the traditions and building on the success of our school system as we move forward.

Our current enrollment is 1,240 students in grades K-12. We have one elementary (Chickamauga Elementary School, grades K-5), one middle (Gordon Lee Middle School, grades 6-8) and one high school (Gordon Lee High School, grades 9-12). All three schools are located in the same city block with some shared facilities. We are rich in tradition with a long history of academic excellence. We promote a positive school climate and are committed to providing a safe and healthy learning environment. We value our families and community and make learning a priority. Chickamauga is a special place to be.

Our school district is committed to providing a challenging and engaging educational program that meets the needs of all learners. We believe high expectations and educational support are essential to student success. We strive to graduate students with the character, knowledge, and essential skills needed to succeed in a global economy. We offer many opportunities for students to learn and excel through college and career academic programs with Honors, Advanced Placement, and Dual Enrollment courses along with six Career and Technical pathways. Outside of the classroom students can be part of a successful athletic program with many region and state championships, a strong band program with state and national recognition, and active organizations and clubs such as HOSA, FFA, National Honor Society, Key Club, FBLA, FCCLA, FCA, Art Club, and Vex Robotics.

We are proud of our school system. We strive to improve and grow daily and provide the best education we can to our students. Chickamauga City Schools has amazing educators. Our dedicated administrators, teachers, and support staff work diligently to challenge and engage students in a positive, safe learning environment.

We believe that education is a partnership among students, parents, school, and community. Your involvement and support are vital to student success. We value your input and welcome open and honest communication. We encourage you to explore our website for resources, information, and updates. We aim to keep you informed about important events, academic programs, and extracurricular activities.

As Superintendent, I look forward to working with all our stakeholders to ensure a tradition of excellence continues.
